Natural and Scenic Waterways (line)

The purpose of this dataset is to provide a cartographic representation of the Natural and Scenic Waterways, as indicated by Regulation No. 2 of the Arkansas Pollution Control And Ecology Commission. Regulation No. 2 sets forth standards to enhance the quality of the water resources of the State of Arkansas. The Arkansas Department of Environmental Quality abides by the rules and standards set forth in this regulation. The Natural and Scenic Waterways is a beneficial use that identifies segments which have been legislatively adopted into a state or federal system.

This data includes segments of Arkansas streams that have been designated as Natural and Scenic Waterways, as indicated by Regulation No. 2 of the Arkansas Pollution Control And Ecology Commission. It consists of a subset of the stream segments from the National Hydrography Dataset (NHD) Medium Resolution (1:100,000) Flowline.
