This dataset contains Public Land Survey System Corner points as provided by the surveying community that represent the X, Y coordinate of Section Corners, Quarter-Section Corners, Center Quarter-Section Corners. This represents a significant improvement in the accuracy and quality of the Public Land Survey System and will continue to improve the data over time.
The points have not been fully verified but may provide supporting information on corner locations.

Internal feature number.
Esri
Sequential unique whole numbers that are automatically generated.
Feature geometry.
Esri
Coordinates defining the features.
The concatenation of the principal meridian, township, range, and duplication code that form a unique ID value
U.S. Department of the Interior - Bureau of Land Management (BLM)
Concatenation of the PLSSID and the Point ID thus creating a unique identifier.
BLM Point ID Standard The Geographic Coordinate Data Base (GCDB) uses a six-digit numbering system to name PLSS points in a township. This six-digit corner number is only unique within a PLSS township. This number is repeated in each township, to make it easier to determine the location of a corner within a Township by its number. The first three digits of this number refer to the east-west position in the township. The second three digits indicate the north-south position in a township.
Bureau of Land Management
Northing Value as provided by intitial data collector.
Calculated Longitude or X Value
Calculated Latitude or Y Value
Easting Value as provided by intitial data collector.
A one-square-mile block of land, containing 640 acres, or approximately one thirty-sixth of a township. Due to the curvature of the Earth, sections may occasionally be slightly smaller than one square mile
Bureau of Land Management
An approximately 6-mile square area of land, containing 36 sections. Also, a horizontal row of townships in the PLSS.
Bureau of Land Management
A vertical column of townships in the PLSS
Bureau of Land Management
Original collector of the data. This will contain the name and license number of the Professional Surveyor who perpetuated the corner control point.
What type of corner the location is. Control Station, PLSS Rectangular, PLSS Non-Rectangular, Land Survey Corner, Corner Accesory, Orther or Unknown
Bureau of Land Management
Type of Point. Township Corner, Section Corner, 1/4 Section Corner, 1/16 Section Corner etc
Bureau of Land Management
General category of monumentation such as Capped Monument, Stone or other Non-Capped Marker, Physical feature etc.
Bureau of Land Management
Stores a description of the type of monument physically set or found. Such as Rebar, Aluminum Pipe, Bolt, Concrete Post, Iron Pope, Nail, Etc.
Bureau of Land Management
Stores an abbreviated set of notes describing the monument physically marking the corner control.
Data entered into the GIS System
The coordinate system listed by the original data collector as the system used in collection.
The Datum as provided by the original data collector as the system used in collection.
Date updated in the GIS System
